TeleVantage Music-on-Hold Cable Installation Instructions
Basic WiringSimply plug the headphone plug (or RCA plug with the provided adapter) into the music source, plug the RJ45 connector into one of the ports marked "S" (station) on the Dialogic BCP panel, and secure the grounding strap to the TeleVantage server. (Normally, you might remove one of the screws from the exterior of the server enclosure, attach the grounding strap, then re-apply the screw. NOTE: It is important that your music source be plugged into the same AC outlet as your server.
TeleVantage Setup- Log into the TeleVantage Administrator.
- Click Tools.
- Click System Settings.
- On the General tab under "Use hold audio from station number", enter the number of the station into whose jack you plugged the RJ45 connector (see above).
- Click OK, then reboot.
Using an Internal Music Source (CD-ROM on the TeleVantage Server)
Automatic Play/Windows NT CD Player Setup- On the server, open My Computer.
- Open the "C" drive (or NT system drive, if different).
- Navigate to WINNT\Profiles\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
- Right-click anywhere in the window.
- Click New, then Shortcut.
- Click Browse.
- Navigate to the WINNT\System32 folder.
- Double-click cdplayer.exe.
- Click OK.
- Double-click the new CD Player shortcut you just created.
- Select Options.
- Check the Random Order and Continuous Play boxes.
- Do not check the Intro Play box.
