Multiple Campaigns
The Odyssey System allows you to run 40 simultaneous campaigns.
Creating a New Campaign
- After logging on to the ODYSSEY program, select File on the Menu Bar. A drop down menu appears.

- Select New.
- The New Campaign Dialog window opens. Enter a campaign name or description in the Campaign Description window. The descriptions can be up to 50 characters long. You should use a descriptive name that will help you identify the campaign.

- Enter a short description for the campaign in the "Short Description" box. It can be up to 10 characters long. The short description is required, as the Odyssey uses it for storage purposes.
- There are several other options at that can be set up at the time of campaign creation.
- Allow Duplicate Phone Numbers: Checking this box will allow the campaign to have multiple entries of the same phone number. This should be used with caution. Most dialing campaigns would not want duplicate phone numbers. However, there are some campaigns where it would be desired. One example of such would be a political campaign where the candidate for office wants to call more than one registered voter at the same phone number.
- Fund Raiser Data Tracking: Checking this box enables the ability to track fund raising. Checking this box will create a new field in the campaign table called pledgeamount. When taking pledge information, you should create your script so that the amount pledged is placed in this field. Checking this box will also create a table in the Odyssey.mdb called pledgehistory. The information stored in this table is where the pledge history report gathers its information.
- Record Level Call History: Checking this box will enable Record Level Call History. It will create 24 new fields called APCR, APCRAgent, APCRDT, and APCRmemo. Which will store the last 6 attempts for any given record. The information stored is the call result code, Agent, Date and time of the call, and memo.
- On-Site Call Transfer w/Voice&Data: Checking this box will turn on the ability to have On-Site Call Transfer w/Voice&Data.
- Select OK. The Campaign Control Panel opens.

When you create a new campaign, the Supervisor Program creates a new campaign database in the D:\ODYSSEY\DATA directory. The database uses your long descriptive name with a ". MDB" file extension. The MDB file is in "Microsoft Access 97" format. It contains tables that store all of your campaign data.
Campaign Dialing Parameters
Each campaign has its own set of dialing parameters that control the dialing system. The dialing parameters of one campaign may be different from those of another campaign. The user determines the dialing parameter settings. If you change the dialing parameters, the Odyssey behaves differently. Therefore it is very important to know what each parameter means and how to use them to improve productivity.
